The title compound [(1R,7S,8aS)-1,7-dihydroxyperhydroindolizine hydrate, C₈H₁₅NO₂.H₂O] crystallizes with one water solvate molecule, which is involved in strong hydrogen bonds with the hydroxyl O atoms. Bond lengths and angles in the molecule are in agreement with literature values.
