In the title compound, [Zn(NH3)4](C6H2N3O7)4·3H2O, the ZnII atom is coordinated by four ammine N atoms in a slightly distorted tetrahedron. The phenolate and nitro O atoms of the picrate ions act as acceptors in N—H...O and O—H...O hydrogen bonds, giving a three-dimensional network.

Special details top

Geometry. All e.s.d.'s (except the e.s.d. in the dihedral angle between two l.s. planes) are estimated using the full covariance matrix.
