Di-μ-phenylthio-bis[bis(triethylphosphine-P)platinum(II)] Bis(hexafluorophosphate), [Pt₂(μ-SPh)₂(PEt₃)₄](PF₆)₂

The structure of [Pt₂(C₆H₅S)₂(C₆H₁₅P)₄][PF₆]₂, has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction at room temperature. The cation has C_i symmetry with square-planar coordinated platinum. The central Pt₂S₂ ring is a rhombus with angles S—Pt—S′ = 81.34 (5) and Pt—S—Pt′ = 98.66 (5)°.
