The synthetic route to obtain single crystals of 2-(7,9-diphenyl6bH-cyclopenta[a]acenaphth-6b-yl)-2-phenylethanol, C35H26O, is described. There are only weak van der Waals-type forces between neighbouring monomeric molecules.
