Bis[2-(2-pyridylmethylaminomethyl)phenol]copper(II) Diacetate Trihydrate [Cu(HBPA)₂](CH₃COO)₂.3H₂O

The mononuclear [Cu(HBPA)₂]²⁺ cation within the title compound, [Cu(C₁₃H₁₄N₂O)₂](CH₃COO)₂.3H₂O, has a tetragonally elongated coordination polyhedron and represents a rare example of a copper complexe in which two phenolic O atoms are axially coordinated to the Cu^II centre without deprotonation.
