Tetrasodium cerium(IV) bis[diarsenate(4-)] is built from CeO8 antiprisms and As2O7 diarsenate groups connected by Ce-O-As mixed bridges to form a three-dimensional framework. The As2O7 diarsenate groups have a nearly eclipsed conformation. The framework delimits interconnecting tunnels running along the [001] and [110] directions where the Na+ cations are located.
