In the title compound, [Cu(C18H18N2O2)], the coordination geometry about the Cu atom is a 6-5-6 chelate ring structure in a tetrahedrally distorted square-plane with two imine N atoms and two phenol O atoms. The angle between the two planes, which each contain the donor atoms of a salicylaldiminato residue, and the central Cu atom is 15.8 (2)°.
