Potassium β''-aluminogallate

The title compound is a non-stoichiometric ionic conductor with the chemical formula K_1.67Mg_0.67(Al_10.33-xGa_x)O₁₇, where x = 1.75. This corresponds to a 17% gallium substitution of the aluminium spinel block framework. The gallium substitution influences the mobile K⁺ ion distribution and hence the ion conductivity.
