trans-Tribromotris(1,3-thiazole-N)molybdenum(III)

The title compound, [MoBr₃(C₃H₃NS)₃], has been synthesized by the solid-state reaction of Cu(thiazole)₂Br₂ and Mo(CO)₆ under argon. A pseudo-octahedral Mo center is formed by the N-bonded thiazole ligands and the Br ligands. The thiazole rings display orientational disorder due to 180° rotations about their Mo-N bonds.
