Neodymium hexacyanocobaltate (III) tetrahydrate, NdCo(CN)6.4H2O, crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Cmcm (No. 63). The structure consist of octahedrally coordinated Co atoms and eight-coordinated Nd atoms linked by non-linear cyanide bridges which produces an undulation throughout the polymeric array. Two water molecules are coordinated to the Nd atoms and two are zeolitic in nature occupying cavities in the polymeric array within hydrogen-bonding distance of the coordinated water molecules.
