4,4-Dibenzyl-1,4-dihydroisoquinoline

The title compound, 4,4-dibenzyl-1,4-dihydroisoquinoline, C₂₃H₂₁N, is one of the few stable derivatives of 1,4-dihydroisoquinoline whose structures have been reported so far. In the solid state the compound exhibits an interesting conformation with both benzyl groups at C4 folded symmetrically toward the heterocyclic system.
