The newly proposed atomic-scale length standard, the wavelength of the 57Fe Mössbauer radiation [Shvyd'ko et al. (2000). Phys. Rev. Lett. 45, 495–498], is used to measure the wavelengths of the Mössbauer radiation of 151Eu, 57.556185 (27) pm, 119Sn, 51.920811 (39) pm, and 161Dy, 48.334336 (19) pm, with a relative accuracy of ∼0.5 p.p.m. Also, the lattice constants of Al2O3 are measured in a temperature range from 286 K to 374 K. At room temperature, T = 295.65 K, their values are a = 4.759213 (8) Å, c = 12.991586 (4) Å.
