(6S,9S,15S,18S)-6,9,15,18-tetrabenzyl-1,4,7,10,13,16-hexaazatetracyclo[14.2.2.2^7,10] docosane-2,5,8,11,14,17-hexaone crystallizes with two water molecules (C₄₄H₄₆N₆O₆.2H₂O). The two piperazin-2-one rings are perpendicular to the 18-membered ring, thus producing a molecular cavity. A water molecule is located in this cavity and interacts with the macrocyclic ring.
