The structure of the cubic phase of a new langbeinite, K2Mn2(BeF4)3, has been determined at 293 K from X-ray diffraction data. Differential scaning calorimetry measurements in the temperature range from 100-300 K indicated a new phase transition at 213 K, which has been confirmed by precession X-ray diffractograms, revealing a new type of structure different to those generally expected for the low-temperature phases of langbeinites.
