Tomatinase, a saponin-detoxifying enzyme belonging to family 3 of the glycosyl hydrolases from the fungal tomato pathogen S. lycopersici, has been purified from culture medium and crystallized. The crystals belong to space group P2₁2₁2 are predicted to contain 46% solvent and diffract to at least 3.0 Å resolution.
