In this work, serial crystallography is applied to a drug discovery target and the room-temperature ligand-bound complexes are used to explore temperature-dependent structural differences.

Crystals of the pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase involved in the antepenultimate step in biotin biosynthesis have been obtained and analyzed with respect to cell dimensions, space group and suitability for a crystallographic structure determination.

The crystal structure of dethiobiotin synthetase has been refined to 0.97 Å resolution. A detailed analysis of the structure is presented.
