A nickel(II) cation and two lithium(I) cations are coordinated by two bridging N,N′-(pyridine-2,6-diyl)bis(trimethylsilylamide) ligands. The LiI cations are solvated by tetrahydrofuran. This complex is a unique example of a heteromultimetallic complex combining an alkali metal and a transition metal.

A novel family of four 1-bromo-2,6-bis{[(λ5-phosphanylidene)imino]methyl}benzene ligands has been synthesized and each ligand has been complexed with nickel(II). The phosphinimine substituents incrementally change from all-phenyl to all-cyclohexyl across this family and these ligands represent a useful opportunity to investigate the impact of changing sterics on complex structure and reactivity.

A K+ cation is coordinated to a monoanionic 2,6-bis(trimethylsilylamino)pyridine and an 18-crown-6 macrocycle. The complex forms a monomer unlike other related complexes of potassium with similar trialkylsilylpyridine ligands and crown ethers.

The title structure crystallizes in a triclinic unit cell as an ion pair with a single disordered solvent molecule. Hydrogen bonding is observed between the carboxylic acid moiety and the tetrahydrofuran solvent.
