Recombinant cryptochrome 3 from A. thaliana with FAD and MTHF cofactors has been crystallized using the hanging-drop vapour-diffusion technique in the orthorhombic space group P2₁2₁2₁ and X-ray diffraction data were collected to 1.9 Å resolution.
