Crystallization and preliminary X-ray analysis of an enantioselective halohydrin dehalogenase from Agrobacterium radiobacter AD1

Halohydrin dehalogenases are key enzymes in the bacterial degradation of vicinal halopropanols and structurally related nematocides. The enantioselective halohydrin dehalogenase HheC from A. radiobacter AD1 was crystallized and data were collected to 3.0 Å resolution.

Two related crystal forms of an ABC-ATPase have been obtained in the absence of nucleotide. Experimental phases could be derived from single-wavelength anomalous diffraction data collected on an iodide derivative.

The C103A mutant of acyl coenzyme A:isopenicillin N, the last enzyme in penicillin G biosynthesis, was purified and crystallized. Crystals of a SeMet derivative were also obtained.
