Crystallization and preliminary X-ray diffraction studies of catalase-peroxidase from Synechococcus PCC 7942

Catalase-peroxidase from Synechococcus PCC 7942 has been purified and crystallized in the tetragonal space group P4₁2₁2 or P4₃2₂1. A native data set has been collected to 2.3 Å resolution using the SPring-8 synchrotron-radiation source.

The structure of human recombinant aldose reductase complexed with the potent inhibitor zenarestat

The crystal structure of the complex of human recombinant aldose reductase with zenarestat has been solved at 2.5 Å resolution. Zenarestat fits in the hydrophobic active site and induces unique and dramatic conformational changes.
