organic compounds
The title compound, C20H22O7, was prepared by reaction of 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde and 1-chloro-2-(2-chloroethoxy)ethane. Intermolecular C—HO hydrogen-bonding contributes to the stability of the structure in the solid state.
organic compounds
The title compound, C22H20N2O3, was prepared by the reaction of 4-benzyloxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde and benzohydrazide. The central vanillin system makes dihedral angles of 18.2 (1) and 14.3 (1)° with the planes of the benzohydrazide and benzyl groups, respectively. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular N—HO hydrogen bonding.
