4-[4-(4-Formyl-2-methoxy­phen­oxy)but­oxy]-3-methoxy­benzaldehyde

The title compound, C₂₀H₂₂O₆, was prepared by the reaction of 4-hydr­oxy-3-methoxy­benzaldehyde and 1,4-dibromo­butane. A crystallographic center of symmetry is located at the mid-point of the central C-C bond. The four C atoms linking the two aromatic rings are coplanar and the two aromatic rings are parallel to each other.
