The title compound, C9H10N2O2, was synthesized by cyclization of 3-(1-methylpyrrole-2-carboxamido)propanoic acid in the presence of phosphorus oxychloride. Intermolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonds generate a one-dimensional chain in the crystal structure.

The title compound, C8H9BrN2O3, was synthesized by condensation of β-alanine methyl ester with 4-bromo-2-(trichloroacetyl)pyrrole, followed by saponification and acidification. In the molecule, all bond lengths and angles are normal. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular N—H...O and O—H...O hydrogen bonds.

The title compound, C9H11BrN2O3, was synthesized by condensation of β-alanine methyl ester with 4-bromo-1-methyl-2-(trichloroacetyl)pyrrole at room temperature. In the crystal structure, intermolecular N—H...O and O—H...O hydrogen-bond interactions link the molecules into extended ribbons parallel to the a axis.
