An enzyme with a deep trefoil knot for the active-site architecture

The crystal structure of a hypothetical RNA 2'-O-ribose methyltransferase from T. thermophilus (RrmA) has been determined at 2.4 Å resolution and a deep trefoil knot has been found for the first time.

Purification, crystallization and initial crystallographic analysis of RNA polymerase holoenzyme from Thermus thermophilus

Bacterial RNA polymerase holoenzyme, an assembly of six protein subunits with a total molecular mass of ∼450 kDa, was crystallized under near-physiological conditions. A complete diffraction data set was collected at 3 Å resolution. The structure determination and refinement is in progress.
