metal-organic compounds
The title complex, [Cu2(C6H13NO2)4Cl2]Cl2·4H2O, has a centrosymmetric, dimeric and dicationic tetracarboxylatodicopper(II) core with apical positions occupied by chloride. The positive charge is balanced by two non-coordinating chlorides that, together with four uncoordinated water molecules per dimeric unit, are involved in extensive hydrogen bonding, leading to a cohesive crystal structure.
metal-organic compounds
The title compound, {[CuCl2(C5H6N2)2]·H2O}n, comprises centrosymmetric mononuclear CuCl2L2 (L = 3-aminopyridine) units, with a trans geometry of the ligands, connected into infinite linear chains through bridging chloride ligands. The chains are oriented along the c axis and form channels, which are occupied by disordered water molecules.
