Di-μ-methoxo-κ⁴O:O-bis­[bis­(1,3-diphenyl­propane-1,3-dionato-κ²O,O′)chromium(III)]

The title compound, [Cr₂(CH₃O)₂(C₁₅H₁₁O₂)₄], was obtained from the reaction of [CrCl₃(C₄H₈O)₃] with 1,3-diphenyl­propane-1,3-dione and sodium methoxide in anydrous methanol. Its structure consists of discrete mol­ecules, in which two centrosymmetrically related chromium(III) ions are bridged by two methoxide ligands and complete their octa­hedral coordination geometry with O atoms from β-diketonate mol­ecules acting as ancillary ligands.
