Conformation of a terminally protected [beta][gamma] hybrid dipeptide Boc-Ant-Gpn-OMe stabilized by C₆/C₇ hydrogen bonds

A hybrid [beta][gamma] dipeptide, Boc-Ant-Gpn-OMe, adopts a folded conformation stabilized by intra­molecular six- (C₆) and seven-membered (C₇) hydrogen bonds, together with weak C-H...O and C-H...[pi] inter­actions, resulting in a ribbon-like structure.

Folded conformations due to arene inter­actions in dissymmetric and symmetric butyl­idene-linker models based on pyrazolo­[3,4-d]pyrimidine, purine and 7-de­aza­purine

Three butyl­idene-linker models have been designed and synthesized. They show intra­molecular folding in solution and also, more importantly, in the solid state. These folded conformations in the solid are mainly stabilized by inter­actions between arene groups.

An unusual trans-gauche (tg^-) conformation of the gabapentin residue is stabilized by weak intra­molecular inter­actions in the crystal structure of Pyr-Gpn-NH-NH-Pyr monohydrate.
