In the title compound, [Fe(C₉H₁₀BN₆)₂][FeCl₄]·C₂H₃N, extensive weak C—H

Cl/N interactions exist between the octahedral [Fe(HBpz₃)₂]⁺ cations [HBpz₃⁻ is hydrotris(pyrazolyl)borate], tetrahedral FeCl₄⁻ anions and acetonitrile solvent molecules.
