Bis[2-(4-pyridinio)-1H-benzimidazolium] hexacosaoxooctamolybdate(VI)

The title compound, (C₁₂H₁₁N₃)₂[Mo₈O₂₆], was prepared by the hydro­thermal method. The centrosymmetric β-octa­molybdate anions are linked to form a three-dimensional structure by the 2-(4-pyridinio)benzimidazolium cations through N—H...O hydrogen bonds.
