Crystallization and preliminary X-ray diffraction analysis of AntE, a crotonyl-CoA carboxylase/reductase from Streptomyces sp. NRRL 2288

AntE, a crotonyl-CoA carboxylase/reductase involved in the biosynthesis of antimycin A from Streptomyces sp. NRRL 2288, has been overexpressed in E. coli, purified and crystallized. Diffraction data have been collected to a resolution of 2.29 Å.

This is the first report of the crystallization conditions for VLPs from a grouper fish nervous necrosis virus, and the VLP structure diffracted X-rays to 7.5 Å with high completeness.
