{111}-specific twinning structures in nonstoichiometric ZrC_0.6 with ordered carbon vacancies

The ordering of carbon vacancies induces the reduction of twinning interfacial energy and leads to the presence of {111} twinning structures in nonstoichiometric ZrC_0.6. Two types of twinning boundaries, i.e. {111}_C and {111}_Zr, can be recognized.

Performance of polycapillary X-ray optics for confocal energy-dispersive small-angle X-ray scattering

The performance of confocal energy-dispersive small-angle X-ray scattering based on polycapillary optics is presented. This confocal small-angle X-ray scattering technology could be used to perform nondestructive and in situ analysis of samples such as milk powder in its packaging.
