Binding of the unreactive substrate analog L-2-amino-3-guanidinopropionic acid (dinor-L-arginine) to human arginase I

Crystal structures of Mn₂²⁺- and Co₂²⁺-substituted human arginase I complexed with an unreactive analog of substrate L-arginine are described at 1.82 and 1.90 Å resolution, respectively.
