3-(Piperidin-1-yl)propionic acid forms a 1:1 adduct with chloro­triphenyl­tin, viz. chloro­triphen­yl[3-(piperidinium-1-yl)propionato]tin(IV) chloro­form solvate, [Sn(C₆H₅)₃(C₈H₁₅O₂)Cl]·CHCl₃. The acidic H atom is transferred to the piperidine N atom and an N—H...O intra­molecular hydrogen bond is formed.

A 1:2 adduct of 3-(piperidin-1-yl)propionic acid and triphenyl­tin chloride

3-(Piperidin-1-yl)propionic acid, C₈H₁₅NO₂, forms a 1:2 adduct, bis-chlorotriphenyl[3-(piperidinium-1-yl)propionato]tin(IV (C₈H₁₅NO₂)[Sn(C₆H₅)₃Cl]₂, with triphenyl­tin chloride, [Sn(C₆H₅)₃Cl]. The acidic H atom is transferred to the imine N atom and an N—H...O intra­molecular hydrogen bond is formed. The carboxylate group bridges the two Sn atoms.
