Structure of cytochrome c₆ from Arthrospira maxima: an assembly of 24 subunits in a nearly symmetric shell

An isoform of cytochrome c₆ from the cyanobacterium A. maxima crystallized in space group I4₁32, with eight molecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal structure reveals protein molecules packed into hollow clusters of 24 molecules.
