Structure of an endoglucanase from termite, Nasutitermes takasagoensis

The first crystal structure of an endo-β-1,4-glucanase from higher termites refined to 1.4 Å resolution is reported here. The effects of pH changes on the structure of the enzyme are minimal: a structural Ca²⁺ ion is lost at pH 2.5.
