Crystallization and preliminary X-ray characterization of an NAD(P)-dependent butanol dehydrogenase A from Geobacillus thermodenitrificans NG80-2

ADH2, an NAD(P)-dependent butanol dehydrogenase A, is part of the terminal oxidation pathway in the long-chain alkane-degrading G. thermodenitrificans NG80-2. The expression, purification, crystallization and preliminary crystallographic analysis of ADH2 are reported.

Crystals of an S84D/S86D/S88D triple mutant of the casein kinase 2 interacting protein-1 (CKIP-1) pleckstrin homology domain were obtained and diffraction data were collected and processed to 1.7 Å resolution.
