organic compounds
The title compound, C24H29NO5, the benzyl ester of the Phe–Gly dipeptidomimetic containing a ketomethylene motif, was synthesized from the readily available α,β-unsaturated γ-ketoester. The methylene group in the benzyl part of the molecule is disordered. There is an intermolecular N—HO hydrogen bond linking the molecules in the crystal structure.

The title compound, C14H10N2, has been synthesized from the appropriate ketones and formamide using different palladium complexes as catalysts. The pyrimidine group is twisted 30.48 (9)° relative to the naphthalene part of the molecule, resulting in an intramolecular C—HN hydrogen bond. There is also an intermolecular C—HN hydrogen bond linking the molecules in the crystal structure.
organic compounds
5,6-Dihydrobenzo[h]quinazoline, C12H10N2, has been synthesized from α-tetralone and formamide using different palladium complexes as catalysts. There are two molecules in the asymmetric unit and the least-squares planes through the two molecules show that they are almost perpendicular to each other, resulting in a zigzag packing pattern in the crystal structure.
