The title compound, (C15H25N2O)[FeCl4], consists of one matrinium cation {matrine is (7aS,13aR,13bR,13cS)-dodecahydro-1H,5H,8H-dipyrido[2,1-f:3′,2′,1′-ij][1,6]-naphthyridin-10-one} and one [FeCl4]− anion. One ring of the matrinium cation has a half-chair conformation, whereas the others have chair conformations. Chiral chains of the title compound are formed by C—HO and N—HO hydrogen bonds.

In the title compound, [CuCl2(C5H4ClN)2(H2O)], the CuII atom is coordinated by one water molecule, two Cl− ions and two 2-chloropyridine molecules. The structure is built up via O—HCl hydrogen bonds and stablized by π–π stacking and ClCl interactions.
