Dichloro­bis[2-(o-tolyl­imino­meth­yl)phenolato]copper(II)

The title compound, [Cu(C₁₄H₁₃NO)₂Cl₂], is a mononuclear copper(II) complex of a Schiff base. The Cu^II atom is coordinated by two O atoms from two 2-(o-tolyl­imino­methyl)phenolate ligands, and by two chloride anions, forming a tetra­hedral geometry.

In the title mononuclear zinc(II) compound, [Zn(C₁₆H₃₆N₄)](ClO₄)₂, the Zn²⁺ atom lies on an inversion center and is coordinated by four N atoms from the macrocyclic ligand. The coordination geometry is slightly distorted square planar.
