Three new europium(III) methanetriacetate metal-organic frameworks: the influence of synthesis on the product topology

Three new metal-organic framework structures containing Eu^III and the little explored methanetriacetate ligand (mta^3-) have been synthesized. Gel synthesis yields a two-dimensional framework with the formula [Eu(mta)(H₂O)₃]_n·2nH₂O, while two polymorphs of the three-dimensional framework [Eu(mta)(H₂O)]_n·nH₂O are obtained through hydrothermal synthesis at either 423 or 443 K.

Temperature- and pressure-dependent structural study of {Fe(pmd)₂[Ag(CN)₂]₂}_n spin-crossover compound by neutron Laue diffraction

The spin-crossover behaviour under applied pressure of {Fe(pmd)₂[Ag(CN)₂]₂}_n (pmd = pyrimidine) has been investigated from the structural point of view by means of neutron Laue diffraction, and the results correlated with those of magnetic measurements to describe the pressure–temperature phase diagram of this compound.
