metal-organic compounds
In the title compound, [CuCl2(C11H8N2O)2], the CuII atom is coordinated by two N and two Cl atoms in a centrosymmetric square-planar geometry. Intermolecular N—HCl hydrogen bonds link the molecules into a two-dimensional network.
organic compounds
The title compound, C20H14N2OS, was synthesized by mixing imidazolidine-2-thione, ethyl chloroacetate and anthracene-10-carbaldehyde in ethanol. The dihedral angle between the anthracene plane and the heterocyclic ring system is 61.5 (3)°. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked via weak C—HO interactions.
organic compounds
The non-hydrogen skeleton of the title compound, C8H8O2, is planar. The torsion angles HO-C-C=O and O=C-C(Ph)-C(Ph) are -0.9 (4) and 6.0 (4)°, respectively. The hydroxyl group participates in a bifurcated hydrogen bond, giving rise to infinite chains extended along the b axis.
metal-organic compounds
The title compound (systematic name: aqua{4,4'-dibromo-2,2'-[1,2-ethanediylbis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenolato]chloromanganese(III)), [Mn(C16H12Br2N2O2)Cl(H2O)] or [Mn(Br2salen)Cl(H2O)], was prepared from a methanol solution. The Mn3+ ion displays an elongated octahedral geometry, coordinated by two N and two O atoms from salen, one O atom from the water ligand and one Cl- anion, and is slightly displaced out of the Schiff base N2O2 plane toward the axial Cl- ion. Hydrogen bonds between the coordinated water O and Cl atoms link pairs of molecules into a three-dimensional network.
metal-organic compounds
In the title compound, [CoCl2(C7H17N3)(C2H3N)]ClO4, the Co3+ ion is six-coordinated by three N atoms from the 1,4,7-triazacyclodecane (tacd) ligand, two chloride anions and one N atom of the acetonitrile group, giving a distorted octahedral geometry. The cation and anion both have crystallographic mirror symmetry. Intermolecular hydrogen bonds link the ions into a three-dimensional network.
organic compounds
In the title compound, C22H19NO, the Csp2 atom of the benzimido group reveals a distorted trigonal geometry, which results in the approximately overall trigonal shape of the molecule.
metal-organic compounds
In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu(C13H9N2O)2]·2C3H7NO, the CuII ion is coordinated by two N and two O atoms from two deprotonated 2-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)phenol ligands to give a four-coordinate distorted tetrahedral geometry. The Cu atom lies on a twofold rotation axis.
metal-organic compounds
A novel three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded complex, [Ni(C6H6N4)3](C8H4O4), was synthesized. Each Ni atom is six-coordinate, in a pseudo-octahedral geometry, formed by six N atoms of three chelating biimidazole ligands. It has a three-dimensional network structure, formed by extensive hydrogen bonds between [Ni(H2biim)3]2+ cations and phthalate anions. There are two cations and two anions in the asymmetric unit.
metal-organic compounds
In the crystal structure of the methanol-coordinated mononuclear title compound, [Fe(C13H11N2O)Cl2(CH4O)], the FeIII atom is six-coordinate in an octahedral environment and the Cl atoms are cis to each other. Hydrogen bonds between the hydroxyl group of the methanol ligand and the Cl atom of an adjacent molecule lead to the formation of a chain that runs along the b axis of the orthorhombic unit cell.
organic compounds
The title compound, C20H12N2OS, was synthesized by mixing 2,4-dichlorobenzaldehyde, ethyl chloroacetate and tetrahydropyrimidine-2-thione in ethanol. The dihedral angle between the naphthalene plane and the heterocyclic ring system is 9.3 (3)°.
organic compounds
In the cation of the title compound, C38H40N102+·2ClO4−·2H2O, the cyclohexanediamine group has a twofold axis and two of the four pendant benzimidazole groups are protonated. There are hydrogen bonds and π–π interactions in the crystal structure.
organic compounds
The title compound, C18H15ClO, has been synthesized by reacting cyclopentadiene with 4-(2-chloroethyloxy)naphthaldehyde. The naphthalene and cyclopentadienyl rings make a dihedral angle of 42.4 (1)°.
