In the title benzoylhydrazide derivative, C15H14N2O2, the dihedral angle between the planes of the two phenyl rings is 12.56 (9)°. The azomethine double bond adopts an E configuration stabilized by an N—HO hydrogen bond. In the crystal, the components are linked by C—HO interactions to form chains along the b axis.

Crystal structure of 2-{[1-(2-methyl-5-nitro-1H-imidazol-1-yl)propan-2-yloxy]carbonyl}benzoic acid
In the title compound, C15H15N3O6, the dihedral angle between the planes of the benzene and imidazole rings is 34.93 (10)°. An intramolecular C—HO hydrogen bond is observed. In the crystal, O—HN hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains parallel to the c axis.
