metal-organic compounds
The molecular structure of the title compound, [SnBr2(C9H12N)(C9H13N)][SnBr4(C9H12N)], consists of a dibromobis[2-(dimethylaminomethyl)phenyl][2-dimethylammoniomethyl)phenyl]tin(IV) cation and a tetrabromo[2-(dimethylaminomethyl)phenyl]tin(IV) anion. As a result of strong intramolecular N→Sn interactions, distorted trigonal–bipyramidal and octahedral coordination geometries are established for the metal centres of the diorganotin(IV) and monoorganotin(IV) fragments, respectively. The cation and anion are linked together by two BrH contacts, while three additional similar contacts result in a dimeric fragment which repeats in a two-dimensional supramolecular arrangement.
metal-organic compounds
The title compound, [Sn2(C9H12N)4O(OH)2], consists of two [2-(Me2NCH2)C6H4]2SnOH units bridged by an O atom located on a twofold rotation axis. The unique Sn atom is six-coordinated with a (C,N)2SnO2 octahedral core, as a result of the strong intramolecular N→Sn dative coordination trans to the Sn—O bonds [N—Sn—O = 170.24 (12) and 167.83 (10)°]. Owing to the presence of intermolecular Hphenyl contacts, the molecules are arranged in a ladder-like structure.
organic compounds
In the title compound, C9H11ITe·C27H33ITe2 or (Mes)TeI·(Mes2Te)TeI(Mes) (Mes is mesityl or 2,4,6-trimethylphenyl), a strong TeI interaction of 3.3157 (9) Å links the Te atom of an iodidomesityltellurium(II) moiety, (Mes)TeI, and an I atom of the iodidotrimesitylditellurium(II) unit, (Mes2Te)TeI(Mes). Further weak TeI contacts of 4.0818 (9) Å give rise to one-dimensional chains along the b axis in the crystal structure. An intramolecular C—Hπ(arene) interaction is present in the (TeMes2)TeI(Mes) moiety, with a CCg distance of 3.497 (9) Å and a C—HCg angle of 142° (where Cg is the centroid of a mesityl ring of the Mes2Te moiety).
