The monoclinic and triclinic modifications of the title compound, [Sn₂(C₄H₄O₄)(C₆H₅)₆(H₂O)₂].2C₁₈H₁₂N₆, consist of a centrosymmetric bis(aquatriphenyltin) succinate complex, each coordinated water molecule of which is hydrogen-bonded to two of the three pyridyl N atoms of a tris(2-pyridyl)-2,4,6-triazine molecule.
