Trichloro[[eta]⁵-(trimethylstannyl)cyclopentadienyl]titanium

The title compound, [TiCl₃{(CH₃)₃Sn(C₅H₄)}], is the first structurally characterized complex of an early transition metal with a cyclopentadienyl ligand-bearing stannyl moiety. The Ti-Cp distance of 1.986 (4) Å [where Cp is the centroid of the cyclopentadienyl (Cp) ring] is the shortest among the complexes containing the CpTiCl₃ moiety.
