Three 3-aryl-5-cyanopyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridines

The molecular structures of the 3-aryl-5-cyanopyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridines 2C₂₆H₁₉ClN₄^.C₃H₇NO, (I), and C₂₆H₂₀N₄O, (II), exist in the 2H tautomeric form both in solution and in the crystalline state. The C₂₅H₁₄Cl₂N₄ compound, (III), is shown to be the aromatic crystalline oxidation product of a 2H precursor in solution.
