The title compound 1,6-bis(triphenylphosphino)-closo-decaborane, C₃₆H₃₈B₁₀P₂, has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis. The cluster has a closo decaborane framework with an apical and an equatorial substituted triphenylphosphine, and B-P lengths are 1.879 (6) and 1.925 (6) Å respectively.
