The title structure, C₈H₁₂N⁺.C₉H₁₀NO₂^-, consists of infinite bilayers, parallel to the ab plane, incorporating both cations and anions. Within each bilayer, anions and cations are stacked in a herringbone fashion and the layers are generated by three N-H...O hydrogen bonds. The NHCOO^- moiety displays near-planar geometry.
