4-(4-Chlorophenyl)-2,6-diphenyl-(4H)-pyran-3,5-dicarbaldehyde

This study is part of a series undertaken to examine the conformation of 2,4,6-substituted phenylpyran derivatives. These derivatives of pyran have been reported to be anitmicrobial and cocidiostatic, antischistisomal and intermediates in the synthesis of sugars. We report here the structure of the title compound, C₂₅H₁₇ClO₃.
