A New Pyrethroid Insecticide, RU41414

An X-ray diffraction study of RU41414, methyl 3-[2,2-dimethyl-3-(pentafluorophenylmethyloxycarbonyl)cyclopropyl]-2-fluoropropenoate, C₁₇H₁₄F₆O₄, establishes the molecular structure, the configuration (R) of the asymmetric C atoms C12 and C8 of the cyclopropane ring and the stereochemistry of the propenoate C5=C7 double bond.
